Since this is the first post of this thread and my one and only character doesn't really have solid bonds formed with any other character at the moment I believe I'll throw out some potential story ideas for him. Some Ideas are left at a cliffhanger intentionally. His base story is already known, as he is a Psycho Ranger who joined the Empire of Evil willingly after the Power Rangers(though unintentionally so) killed his parents. The ideas aren't in any real order, I'm only posting them to get feedback from you all. Seeing as this is also the place to plot between characters as well, feel free to hit me up with a post here if you have an idea that may involve Brendan as well.
Idea 1: The True Psycho
Some time in the not so distant future Brendan engages in a battle with one or two of the rangers in which he gains the upper hand. The ranger in question says something that provokes him, be it knowingly so or unknowingly so, and he takes a step too far and puts their life to an end. But instead of coming back from his fit of rage he only descend deeper into madness, the Psycho power taking him completely after he stepped over the edge. He loses his humanity and becomes a monster, potentially not just mentally. He would go on fighting the rangers from this point on until they were destroyed or until they destroyed him.
Idea 2:The End of the Cycle of Hatred
The Rangers are becoming increasingly team oriented, and Brendan doesn't trust the villains, even the other Psychos, enough to try and even the odds in a team battle. In order to draw one of the rangers into a fair one on one fight he takes one of their loved ones hostage until they agree to the fight. In a cruel twist of fate during their battle, Brendan ends up doing the same thing that caused him to become a Psycho in the first place and kills the loved one of the ranger he's fighting with "collateral damage" when their fight escalates. Despite having just murdered their loved one, the ranger shows him mercy and forgiveness instead of hatred and violence. Uncertain of what to do and realizing what he has already done, Brendan runs away. After an extensive amount of time alone, he comes back to the one he has wronged and offers both his Psycho Changer and his own life to repay them. The ranger in question accepts the Psycho Changer so that it can be studied and tested, but refuses to take his life. Again Brendan can't understand how or why they forgive him, so asks what he should do.
Idea 3:Final Retribution
It begins the same as Idea 2 with Brendan drawing out one of the rangers with a hostage and unintentionally killing said hostage during their fight. Again the ranger forgives him. The difference is the timing of the incident. During one of the later major battles, the fight happens and things are going downhill for the rangers. Having been shown kindness when he had given none, Brendan gives the rangers an opening by sacrificing himself as a Martyr, holding off hordes of foes so that they may complete their task.
Idea 4:Vengeance, Not Revenge
Brendan earns a bit of respect within the Empire after an impressive display of fighting prowess in which he defeats multiple rangers by himself. And so Astronema sees fit to give his Psycho Changer a tune-up so he can finish the job next time. He attacks again and the rangers are overwhelmed by his new power. They swiftly find themselves beaten into submission and unable to fight back. When the opportunity to strike the final blow arises there is an interruption. A group of civilians, average folk who had witnessed the fight, stand between Brendan and the defeated rangers with their arms spread wide. He moves forward, hoping they will move, but they do not. Instead they charge straight at him. Seeing their acts of bravery and putting their lives on the line for complete strangers, Brendan drops his blade and turns his back to the people. They halt their advance and he walks away. As this happens another foe appears and attempts to finish the rangers, at which point Brendan intervenes, using his new Psycho power to destroy them instead. Astronema sees this betrayal and takes the power from him without a second though, revealing Brendan to the rangers and the people that had tried to save them from him.
