Liam is tall and reedy. Lean would be a good description as well. He is an avid rugby and soccer player, and also spends time cycling. He hates to work out in gyms but does keep in somewhat of shape by playing those sports on a regular basis. He has a new looking scar on his right shoulder, the result of a pub fight when he was eighteen.

He also has a tattoo of a pissed off looking leprechaun on his right ass cheek . He keeps his red hair long and loose around his shoulders. Though sometimes he will gather it up in a tight ponytail.

He hates to dress up. His idea of dressing up is a barely buttoned shirt with a loose tie with khaki pants. Most of the time he is in soccer shorts and a rugby shirt. If the weather is cold enough, he will get rid of the shorts and wear a pair of jeans. He prefers to go barefoot most of the time, but if he has to, he will wear flip flops or sandals

Personality:

Liam is the joker of the Gaelic rangers. To someone that does not know him, he can seem to never take anything serious, but in fact, the opposite is true. It may seem like he is just a joker, but deep down he is about as serious as they come. He just believes that life is too short to take too seriously, so he takes it upon himself to lighten the mood whenever things get too seriously.

He also hides deep down a severe security and self esteem issue. He does not show it, but he is constantly afraid of failing and never doing something with his life. He strives constantly to do his best to not only succeed himself, but to make sure that those around him succeed as well. It is this, along with his easy going nature that has people flocking to him as well as contributes to his ability to easily make friends.

Liam was the third child and second son born to Andrew and Maggie O'Connell. Andrew was a respected banker and local politician, a job that provided more than enough money to allow Maggie to stay at home and care for their three children. While his two older siblings were the serious sort, and never in any trouble, Liam was just the opposite. The label of class clown seemed to be made for him, and his parents received many a note from his teachers complaining about his behavior in class. He liked school well enough, he was just trying to put a little fun into it.

He was always in trouble, but nothing serious. He was basically a good kid, and knew where to draw the line. He did love his parents, and did not ever want to hurt them. He was also very smart, excelling in the classroom. and when he discovered rugby and soccer at the age of twelve, excelled there as well. As a result of his athleticism and his success in the classroom, he attracted a lot of friends in high school and was looked at as very popular.

He did not like to be stuck in a classroom however, and despite having several scholarships and against the wishes of his parents, he decided to not go to the university when he left high school. His father had just been elected president of Ireland, and this was seen as a huge scandal. As a result, Liam and his father had a falling out, and they have not spoken in over a year. In that year, he traveled all over Europe, and even managing to make it to the United States for a tour.

He had just come back from his travels, and was contemplating on contacting his father and decide what to do next, when he was having a drink in a local bar, when his entire world was flipped upside down. Now, as the green Gaelic ranger, with the aid of the mystic green man, he fights to defend the world, but to also add some kind of purpose to his own life.
