It had just been a few days since the attack, and Chelsea was finally feeling to going out in public. She had missed almost a week of school, but Mrs. Oliver had called the school and explained things, and Tommy....Mr. Oliver had agreed to bring her schoolwork to her when he left class each day. The Olivers were not pushing Chelsea and her sister to do anything that they did not want want to do, and that included going to school and even leaving their house. Chelsea secretly hoped that she and Kelsey would never have to leave that house. They were being shown something that they had not seen in a very long time....love.
Now she was sitting at the bar of Haley's cafe and feeling a bit panicked. Ever since the attack, she had been having trouble being around a lot of people. Always thinking that they were looking at her, seeing her bruises and judging her. She hated that feeling and wished more than anything that she could just crawl away and hide. She had told this to Kim, and the older woman had just hugged her and told her that even though she would support her in every way possible, that she also had to get out and face her fears, it was the only way that she would get over them...but Chelsea was not so sure.
So here she was, fiddling with her smoothie straw and hoping that she could leave here soon, but at the same time hoping that the one person that she did want to see now would arrive. She had not talked to Hayley since the attack, and hoped beyond hope that she would not be the one looking at her and judging. She doubted it, the girl really seemed to know where she was coming from the last time that they talked, but in her paranoid state right now, Chelsea was not in the right state of mind. Getting restless now, she told herself that if she did not show in the next ten minutes, she would be leaving and trying again tomorrow.

Buzz.. buzz.. buzz.. a frown as the red haired girl looked up at her phone. It was eight in the morning and yet this girl had not feeling of getting up. Then again, what choice did she have? So Hayley made her way to the bathroom where she got a shower and fixed up for her vocal lessons. It was about time she got on time there. Hayley growled and made her way to the cyber café for her daily cup of coffee.
She wasn’t used to being a power ranger just yet, maybe because she never showed up at fighting classes or bothered to. She loved her musical career, this was nothing different than an ordinary day. Hayley sighed as she entered the café and made her way to the counter. Her hair was stuck in a quick ponytail and her mind was being put on zero.
Her green eyes stayed put on the counter until the counter girl showed up. One caramel late please? To go. she said with a smile and reached for the money in her pockets. Reaching too fast coins flew all over the floor. Quickly she went down on her knees grabbing them all. This was so not her day, and the worst thing is, it wasn’t going to get any better.
Hayley finally had all her coins and noticed Chelsea. morning. she said with a joking smile nodding at the coins and grabbed her coffee. Hayley liked Chelsea, she had a hard time with her family and it had been a while since they spoke to each other. But Hayley didn’t mind, she promised not to come into her business and her problems and she keeps her promises.
Hayley walked over to Chelsea and gave her a sweet smile. Long time no see. Then again I’m a late comer.. she spoke with a smile and sat down on a chair. Her aunt is going to kill her.

Her heart skipped a beat as the one person that she most wanted to see finally arrived at the cafe. For the first time in what seemed like forever, Chelsea smiled as she noticed the girl who she desperately hoped would be her friend, fumble around with her lose change. No, she had no right to laugh at that, to laugh at someone else's misfortune. She knew better than that! Besides, what would she think if she laughed at her?
Her heart skipped again as Hayley finally noticed her and smiled. Good, her little giggles had not only had no effect, they most likely had not been heard at all. Maybe there was some hope after all. Long time no see. Then again I’m a late comer.. She smiled. Hayley seemed as though she actually wanted to see her. Bringing all of her confidence an self esteem to the front, Chelsea made one last attempt to hide her bruises, though the sling that her right arm was in was a little harder to hide, and spoke.
"Y....yes, it has been hasn't it? I haven't seen you in school lately, but then again, I haven't been there myself!
"Good one Chels, you really have a flair for speaking. How else can you mess this up?
She turned back to her smoothie and took a long sip, trying hard to shrink back into herself. The pain in her arm started back again and she tried her hardest to ignore it. It was nothing compared to the pain of embarrassment that she was currently feeling. All she wanted was a friend, was that so hard for her to do?
Apparently so

Hayley didn’t know Chelsea all that well, yeah they were team mates and she knew how bad Chelsea was living, but after their last conversation, nothing much went on between them. Hayley lived her double life and she was quiet bad at it, and Chelsea, who knows what happened to her. Hayley tried not to mess up more so she just took a large sip of her coffee because she really needed it to wake up.
Though she wondered what got Chelsea so nervous, since she wasn’t as nervous back then then she is now. Hayley said nothing though, she just sat there drinking her coffee. Neither was I, have been working late on music for weeks. she said with a small laugh and drank some more coffee. what brings you here so early? I thought they said you quit the job? she asked and smiled.
It was damn early, even the school kids were in bed, but nothing was to early for her aunt. Not even if a dead cat would be the reason, Hayley wasn’t meant to be late , not even around 7 am. Hayley played with her cup not sure what to say next, maybe she should just call it off and go to the studio? Chelsea looked so nervous, and Hayley didn’t even try to look at the bruises and scars.
