Chelsea had only been out of the hospital for a week now, and while she was still not fully recovered, especially mentally, the doctors had insisted on discharging her, with Tommy and Kim promising to take care of her. They apparently had taken their promise seriously, as they took care of her to the point of smothering. Now, she did appreciate the concern, and yes, the love that they were showing her, but if either one of them asked if she was alight or if she needed anything, she was going to scream. For the past week, she had felt like a prisoner in the house that she had called home for the past few months, and if she did not get out soon, she was going to have a serious relapse.
She had lied and told Kim and Tommy, as well as the doctors that she no longer felt like hurting herself again, but that was a bold lie to get them off of her case and out of the hospital. She still dealt with the mental anguish and physical scars that her father inflicted upon her. The rapes were the most vivid. It seemed as though she could not go to sleep every night for fear that her father would come through that bedroom door and do what he had done every night since she was fifteen. She knew that he was in prison and that she was safe in Tommy and Kim's home, but her brain had a bad time recognizing that in the dark of night.
There was also one more issue to deal with, one that had been bothering her for about a month now. And that was the issue of her "Aunt" Eliza. When she and Kelsey had first come to live with the Olivers, Eliza had been warm, friendly, and always willing to help the troubled sister. She and Chelsea had formed a quick bond and for the first time in a long time, she had finally felt a love from someone outside of her family. She had finally started to trust her when things went to hell.
Eliza suddenly changed and started coming by the house less and less. Chelsea was devastated. Was it something she had done? Had she driven off Eliza like she had done to the rest of her family except Kelsey? For a long time, she thought just that. She had simply left and no one knew where. That was, until one day, while out on one of her rare ventures out of the house, she had spotted Eliza, or someone that looked an awful lot like her stumbling down the street, looking like she was on something and walking into a strip club! Curious, Chelsea came back later that night and saw this same woman leave the club and stumble back into a dilapidated apartment building. But before she did, Chelsea made eye contact with her, and for the briefest second, recognition came into the other woman's eyes, only to be quickly masked and Chelsea was ignored.
This incident had steeled the younger girl and had strengthened her resolve. So now, she had waited until both Tommy and Kim were out of the house and had simply left. She intended to track down Eliza and confront her. She found the apartment building and once inside, checked the mailboxes for a name. Surprisingly, Eliza's name was on one, so Chelsea had no problem finding the right apartment. Once in front of the door, she pounded loudly on it, not caring who was disturbed. She meant to have answers, and she meant to have them now.

Running, Eliza kept running, in life, in her dreams. Forgotten to close her bedroom curtains sun was shining brightly into her bedroom, it drove her crazy being stuck with a hangover and the need to drug herself, Eliza dragged her sorry ass to the bathroom. Ever since she claimed that she felt alright, ever since she convinced Tommy she was over Kelly’s death, Eliza moved into her own home and it lead to this.
Eliza stepped into a cold shower, turning hot slowly, and let the water relax her muscles while trying not to think at all. Her grey eyes were the old same eyes but the pain was hidden inside of it, bags underneath her eyes and all because of the lack of sleep and the shit load of trouble recently. Her arm was perfectly healed, and faster than expected.
After being washed and clean from the shower Eliza got dressed and into her living room where he drug kit was on the table, next to the money she made last night. Eliza grabbed a bottle of water and filled up a glass as she heard loud pounding on her door. Like the headache didn’t hurt enough already!
Eliza shook her head, but it didn’t stop. With a sigh she took the glass and walked over to the door, seeing Chelsea through the small window. With a frown she opened the door and looked at Chelsea with no emotion shown on her face. Eliza sighed and took a sip of water while watching Chelsea.
So you know where I live, fun. she said with a blank voice walking back inside leaving the door open so Chelsea could either come in or leave, but by the sound of her pounding she wanted to get in badly. Eliza’s home was simple, in warm colors even if she wasn’t warm at all.
Taking another sip of her drink Eliza sat down on the sofa looking at the wall, not making any eye contact or even attempt to.

The site that greeted Chelsea when Eliza finally opened the door almost made her vomit. How someone could live like this was beyond her. The home looked moderately well kept, but it looked as though her surrogate aunt lived like a pig....not taking care of herself or her living area. Chelsea hardly recognized the woman in front of her. Gone was the smiling, carefree, put together woman that she had known and loved. Sitting in front of her now was a shell of that woman. Someone that looked like she had aged at least ten years, reaked of alcohol, smoke, and god knew what else. Not to mention the fact that she wore the look of someone who did not care about herself or anyone else. That last fact, more than anything, broke her heart the most.
Finally, having enough, Chelsea gathering all of her resolve, walked into the dwelling, and slammed the door behind her...hard, not caring who she disturbed. She was pissed and she wanted Eliza to know it. She marched right up to her and got as close as she could to her without passing out from the smoke smell emitting from her.
"What the hell 'aunt' Eliza, and trust me, I use the term aunt very loosely! You sure as hell have not shown yourself to be much of one lately! You said that you would always be there for me, that I could come to you whenever I needed you. But..." At this, Chelsea rolled up her sleeves, exposing the still fresh wounds. "where were you when this happened? I needed you more than ever, and when you weren't there, THIS happened! So were you all talk and no action? Was all of that stuff you said to me just more lies? If so, tell me now so I can start hating you and move on. Don't worry, I'm used to it by now."
Her anger finally spent, for now. Chelsea collapsed on a nearby chair, almost not caring what she sat in. She had said what she had come today, all that remained now was Eliza's reaction.

The pain in her eyes were never fading, she was still mourning about her sister, and if this was the best wat to do so then so be it. Yes she did drugs, yes she got drunk every night, only to forget how much it really hurts. But at day she was still herself, less caring than she used to be, less happy or even satisfied, but still Eliza.
She didnt smoke, so she didnt break any rules there, and she wasnt needed as badly as she was before everything went down faster than the titanic. Hearing the door slam, she would know that she is going to get complains of the down neighbors cause of their new baby.
Rolling her eyes , Eliza looked up at Chelsea, the girl has been through a lot, really a lot. But that didnt mean that being adopted by Tommy would make her queen of the world. As eliza watched her come closer, the girl's anger was shown in pain and words, yet Eliza tried to stay calm. She never had a long fuse with people acting like that, and Chelsea expected a home coming dance?
shut up. Right now. I am trying to stay calm but if you know me, you know that screaming at me, how much i deserve it will cause you more pain than those wounds. No i wasnt there when you injured yourself, but i was there when your doctor called and told me you were knocked out. How much blood you lost, i donated my blood for you, and you just keep complaining? How fair is that in your eyes? she spoke calmly and got up on her feet.
Eliza looked at Chelsea and turned her back on the girl. you dont know how i feel this way, no one does. And of course the pretty smile and the confidence the past fee months were fake. How would you be if you killed kelsey? I tried it all, threw myself off a bridge, but a diver caught me. I couldnt shoot myself and i hate knives so those were out of option. So yes i started dancing, soon became addicted, yes i do drugs, a few pills per night, and when busted i get shots from the corrupted immigration, after that i blaxk out and wake up home. she explained, still not facing Chelsea. Turning around she sighed.
no one gives a damn, not you, not my own brother, no one. You know what my mother said? Ahe said she never wants to see my sorry ass again because if the world likes it or not, i killed her, i broke her neck and ended her life. I looked her in the eyes and without thinking killed her! Satisfaction arrived Chelsea? You feel better now? You got what you wanted! eliza groaned and walked tot he kitchen her hands on the dresser.

And just like that, Chelsea went from feeling hurt and wronged to selfish and evil. What right did she have to even be here? Looking around the place it was obvious that Eliza was not living the high life, that she was obviously in pain herself. Of course she had not known that she had been given Eliza's blood, no one had seen fit to tell her apparently. And it was that tiny bit of information that made her feel the worse. Eliza HAD cared, and she she had come in here firing on all cylinders accusing her of not caring. Yeah, Chelsea felt like shit right about now.
She stood there dumbfounded as Eliza told her about her life, and the pain that she had been going through. How had she not known? How could she had not seen it? Was she so wrapped up in her own problems that she failed to see the problems that her aunt...one of the people she really cared about had? Still, all of these revelations really hit home when Eliza mentioned killing her own sister and referred to Chelsea killing Kelsey. Of course she knew about what happened with Kelly, but until just now, had not really put it into context. It was then that the whole situation really hit home for her, and all at once, she was overcome with emotions. Sadness, pain, selfishness, and....love.
no one gives a damn, not you, not my own brother, no one. As Eliza walked out of the room, Chelsea finally snapped out of her funk. She followed her aunt into the kitchen and came up behind her, wrapping her arms around her and putting her head on her shoulder. "No, I am not happy. I am ashamed. I am ashamed at myself for thinking that you did not care. And most of all...I love you Eliza. Never forget that"
She knew it was not much, but right now, it had to be enough.
