From New Tech to Reefside. From there to whatever this place was called. From 2025 to 2004. Amy had always been a wanderer but this was taking it to new levels one might say.
Not that she was complaining. She could hardly care less (or at least that was what she would tell people). It wasn't like she had any friends or family looking for her back in New Tech anyways. Only enemies. Huh--the rangers were probably glad she wasn't around there anymore. She always was the wrench in their works (and she enjoyed every minute of it too).
But a little part of her missed it--she guessed. She hadn't been in this time long but already she was missing the familiarity of New Tech. And the future. She knew what was where and who was who. And she took comfort in that. Here--not so much. And it was going to take more then a little time for her to get used to it. And to not be so unnerved.
Amy took in a deep breath as she looked over the lake--a ever slight smirk to the corner of her lips. It was pretty--the water and how it moved along with the breeze. It was cool too (her feet being submerged to her ankles in the water). There weren't a lot of people around but then again, she had purposely trekked to the least visited area of the lake too. Just because she was like that. And also because of other things.
What other things? Well...
To the normal person's eye, there was no one around. No one here. Amelia was using her genetic powers of invisibility to stay away from other eyes. She just didn't want to be bothered. There was nothing bad in that right? The young woman then began to wander around on the shore (still invisible) as she let her mind wander.
It was a good day for that.

Leo breathed rhytmically as he jogged around the lake. Presently, he let out a smile. It was a beautiful day and he was loving it. The sun was shining, and birds were chirping, as cliched as it sounded. Plus the best part was that for once, things were relatively calm. Ever since every evil had been brought back, he had been fighting almost nonstop. But for once, they had a lull. Realistically, Leo knew he should be worried about the quiet, but right now, he was just relieved. He could take a breather, it was something that he could appreciate. Suddenly, he stopped. Had he heard something? He looked around with a frown. He was almost positive he had heard something. Is it Trakeena or one of her goons? he thought to himself. "Who's here?" he asked, tensing and preparing himself for action. Luckily, his morpher was on his wrist in case he needed it...

Amelia really should have been more careful. I mean she wasn't really taken good care to cover her tracks for one who didn't want to be bothered so much. If one was paying attention, they could see the human footprints that suddenly appeared on the sand from out of nowhere. But she didn't care. Really she just didn't. If someone wanted to bug her or pester her, then that was just fine with her. She just didn't promise to be nice to them back...that's all.
Her ears pricked as she heard someone approaching and she paused as she watched the younger man jog right past her. He had no idea that she was even there right now did he? It was kinda funny really...to her anyways. Oh she enjoyed the invisibility powers way more then one ought to probably. He stopped several feet in front of her. Obviously he must have heard her foot as she accidentally stepped in some water. She mentally shrugged--not caring if he had heard her or not.
He asked who was there and she smirked an unseen smirk. She couldn't resist. Really she couldn't, "Someone or maybe no one." she said still invisible--and purposely being cryptic. She was messing with the man. Yeah she was. Not the most proper thing to do but it was fun all the same. What could she say? And who are you?" she asked the suspicion evident in her tone even if she hadn't meant for it to be.
Never hurt to be cautious with strangers now did it?

After he asked the question, he looked around, hoping to catch a shadow or some trace of whoever was there. Was this someone's idea of a joke? If so, it wasn't a funny one. "Someone or maybe no one," came the response. Leo turned in the direction of the voice. What in the world? he wondered, getting into a defensive stance. He wasn't sure what was going on. He looked to the sand and was surprised to see impressions of footprints. Okay, there's definitely someone or something here. I just don't know who, what, or where, he thought to himself. And he didn't like it. Had he fallen into a trap of some sort?"And who are you?" the voice asked suspiciously. "How smart would it be for me to reveal my identity to someone I can't see?" he retorted, fingers inching towards his morpher as he continued to look around. Whoever this was had to be somewhere around here....

Amelia laughed softly as the stranger responded to her. He was obviously just as suspicious of her as she was of him, "Touche." she said gently nodding her head. Not that he would have seen it, but anyways. He was a smart one. She would give him that. It would have been the same thing she would have said if the roles were flipped over. She stayed right where she was as the other tried his hardest to figure out where she was. He probably saw her footprints but that was all he would see. For the moment anyways....
She saw his hands inching towards the weird looking contraption on his wrist and her curiosity rose. What was that thing?! It didn't look like anything she had ever seen before. And that was kind of saying something here. She had no idea what it was. And that was---well she wasn't sure what it was. And while she wanted to keep messing with him and playing her little game with him, her curiosity was a strong thing and she wanted to know what that thing was. And well...he probably wasn't going to tell if he couldn't see her.
"Okay. You win my friend." she said as she became visible again. She was only about three or four feet in front of the other, but she wasn't worried about startling him. Or making him jump back. It just wasn't her problem. "Interesting looking gadget you got there." she said talking of the thing around his wrist. No hi. No hello. No introduction. No sorry I made you so unsettled. Just a what is that thing without really saying so.
Oh so typical of her really....

"Touche," the other person said. He looked at the sand, hoping to see new footprints, but no such look. Whoever it was, wasn't moving. The only thing he did know about the other person was that it was a girl....unless it was a monster that had the ability to change its voice. Now there was a discomforting thought. I don't like this. Maybe I should contact the others, Leo thought to himself. Just as he was about to bring his communicator to his wrist, the woman spoke again. "Okay. You win my friend." Almost instantly, she became visible again and Leo's eyes widened. "How did you do that?" he wondered. She's kinda cute, he thought to himself. However, he wasn't really looking these days. But if he had been, he definitely would've been interested in the woman standing before him. "Interesting looking gadget you got there," the woman noted. "Thanks," he responded. However, he offered up no explanations about what it was. After all, he had no idea who this woman was or whether or not she was a civilian, Ranger, or some kind of evil alien. "So, who are you?" he questioned suspiciously.

Amelia couldn't help the inner smirk as she noticed how he eyes widened a little as she reappeared--seemingly out of nowhere. The look of surprise. It never got old. He asked how she did it and she merely shrugged as she spoke, "Genetic quirk." she said. No use in not being honest here. It was after all what it was. A quirk in her DNA. That was it. Nothing more and nothing less. It was the only reason she had this power to begin with. Not that she was complaining mind you.
The observant side of her kicking in, Amelia began looking at the other. Her mind tallying up the things she noticed. He wasn't all together much taller then she was...and he was slightly built too. He had dark eyes and hair. He was certainly a looker if she wanted to be honest here. Cute for whoever he ended up with. Though that was the last thing on her mind though. At this point, she could care less. Which in hindsight was probably for the best.
He didn't want to explain what that thing on his wrist was and that set her on edge a little. He didn't want to explain it--why? How come? What was so important about it? Or secretive? Hmmm. Curious. Very curious indeed, He asked again who she was and this time she wasn't so apt to mess with his head. "Amelia. You can call me Amy. You?" she asked of him again. This time hopefully--he would answer.
She did after all answer his questions. It was the least he could do now.

"Genetic quirk." Leo's brows furrowed in confusion at the comment, but he kept his mouth shut. There was no point in admitting his confusion, especially since this woman seemed more confident in their meeting than he did. Who is this girl? Leo wondered to himself. Satisfied that she wasn't going to attack him---though he was still suspicious of her---he abandoned his idea of calling the others. He could tell them about the meeting later. Right now, he just needed to figure out what was going on. He didn't recognize the woman and for all he knew, she could be working for Trakeena or was Trakeena in disguise. Then again, as far as he knew, Trakeena couldn't make herself invisible. "Amelia. You can call me Amy. You?" she asked. "Kevin," he replied automatically, using an failsafe of his for when he wasn't sure of a situation and didn't want someone knowing his real name. I'm not sure why, but I'm getting a bad vibe from this girl, Leo mused. And he had always trusted his instincts, especially when it came to potential Ranger business. "Nice to meet you," he added.

Confidence. (She inwardly laughed.)
It may have seemed like she was absolutely brimming with it, but the reality was...that she wasn't. She was way out of her box so to speak and she was still nervous and antsy about it. Maybe not as much as she had been a few days ago--but she still was. I mean could you blame her? It was odd to be walking around in a place and a year when technically you hadn't even been born yet. But she wasn't going to let anyone else know about it. She wasn't one to put her emotions on a billboard anyways....specially with people she didn't know. Now whether or not he could sense it--well that was another matter all together.
'Hmm something isn't right here.' she thought to herself. Something was amiss. She wasn't sure what but there was. And she was going to find out what...somehow, someway--she would figure it out. Cause she always did. He introduced himself as well and she simply nodded, "Likewise." she said as he said that it was nice to meet her. A part of her was unsure if that was really his name or not, but for now, she'd just roll with it. He was already wary of her--she knew that--and she didn't want to make him out and out suspicious of her by pushing.
She suddenly looked over at the lake for a long moment before turning back to the other, 'Its a nice place. Lot calmer then where I'm from. Its different." she said. She was simply trying to start a conversation here. That's all. It was probably an odd twist given the context...but she didn't really care.
Then again---when did she care? That was probably the better question.

Leo stared at the girl suspiciously, ready to spring into action if necessary. "Likewise," Amelia told him. Why is she giving me such a bad feeling? Leo wondered. So far, she hadn't said or done anything to indicate that she was a threat, but the feeling wouldn't go away. "It's a nice place. Lot calmer then where I'm from. It's different." Leo raised his eyebrows in surprise. Angel Grove? Calm? She must be new around here, he thought. Either she had just moved here or she was someone who had been brought here from the future. And he was thinking it was the latter option, because as far as he knew, people from this time period weren't born with the ability to make themselves invisible. "Really?" Leo asked. "So, where are you from?" he wondered.

Okay perhaps she had misspoken. She probably had. What did she know about this place after all? It wasn't New Tech. The place she had spent her entire life in. This was new. It all was new! She was new around here...to put it in simple man's terms. But that was neither here nor there--she guessed. She glanced up at the other and couldn't help but mentally twitch as she noticed the suspicious look he was giving her. What was with him? God! It wasn't like she trying to take his head off or anything. Why was he giving her that look for?! It was enough to set her on edge...I mean even more so then usually. And that was saying something here.
He asked where she had come from and she couldn't help but laugh. Even if she had told him the truth, he wouldn't believe her. Never in a million years, "You--" she started to say something, but she heard something and turned with a start and a gasp (that nervousness and anxiety she had been feeling for the last several days flashing across her face)--her eyes narrowing as she stared down the beach. There was something here. There was something here. There was something here. She knew she wasn't seeing things or hearing things or what have you. It was out there. She knew it. She turned back to the other, muscles tense as she was still on high alert,
"You heard that right?" she asked hoping that she didn't just make herself look like a total idiot...

After he asked Amelia where she was from, she laughed. Leo's brows furrowed in confusion. She found the question funny? If she's from the future, she may not think I'll believe her, he thought to himself. And for most, it'd be a valid assumption, but hey, if you could get pulled into a galaxy that left your ship with no coordinates, you could be pulled from the future into the past. "You---" she began to say, but stopped. Leo looked at her, wondering why she had cut herself off. Then he heard it. A droning noise. Uh-oh. I know that sound, he thought to himself. "You heard that right?" Amelia asked. "Yeah, I heard it," Leo replied as he tensed up as well. The droning noise became louder and to his horror, large insect-like creatures flew towards them furiously. "Watch out!" he yelled. Almost as soon as he had shouted this, he felt himself being pushed to the ground. Rolling over, he saw a Stingwinger flying over top of him. Quickly, he jumped to his feet and kicked the nearest one before blocking a punch. He winced as a Stingwinger hit him across the face with its foreleg, knocking him back. Ouch. These things really hurt. I need to morph but I can't with her here, he thought to himself as he glanced back to see how Amelia was doing. To his horror, one was hovering above her, ready to strike. "Look out!" he shouted in warning.

It was an odd sound. Very strange. It wasn't like anything she had heard before. Amelia's face scrunched up in confusion as she tried to figure out where it was coming from at least. She nodded as the other said he had heard it too. Great. She wasn't going crazy then! Fantastic! Of course that meant that something weird, strange and unusual was coming there way. Whether it was to attack them or not, she couldn't say. But she did know that she was ready for anything they could throw at her. She could take them. She knew it.
Or at least she thought she could.
The creatures came flying towards them and she was taken off guard by that. They came closer and her eyes widened, "Holy crap!" she yelped in surprise as she ducked down, letting the odd flying insect...thing fly straight over her head. Well now there was something you didn't see every day. She turned to face the creeps and made a face as she noticed the one that was flying right above her. These guys certainly weren't winning any beauty pageants. But that hardly mattered at this moment in time. These things were on the attack (as evident by the one that just smacked Kevin across the face) and it appeared as if she was next. She momentarily put a hand to the jean jacket pocket that held her morpher, but immediately thought against it. She had been told that ranger identities were kept secret in this time. Who knows what morphing would have done right now. And so as hard as it was, she was just going to have to do this the harder way.
Which she was perfectly a-okay with.
"You wanna be that way? Fine. I can roll like that." she thought to herself as she once again became invisible just as the other told her to 'Look out!'. The creature obviously hadn't expecting its target to turn invisible and stumbled in its attack. Which gave Amelia the perfect chance to quite literally tackle the flying thing to the ground. Not the most elegant move out there, but hey it worked. The insect like creature hit the ground with a mighty thud and didn't get back up. She really couldn't complain with that.
Trouble hit though when she tried to kick another one of the weird looking things away. It grabbed her ankle and she could feel its ... its....what was it fingers? Appendages? Things? Heck she didn't know. But whatever it was...it was digging into her skin and it really smarted! "Ow...." she hissed under her breath as she turned visible again from the sheer awkwardness of the position this thing had her in. It then let her go and shoved her backwards, causing her to stagger and stumble as she almost fell. There was now a couple of gashes to her ankle--superficial, yes, but still deep enough to bleed. Amelia let out an exasperated and heavy breath...
"Well this is going well..." she muttered growled...

The fight...was not going good...to say the least. Leo was doing his best, but he was also getting tired and he was sore. A Stingwinger slashed him across the face and he let out a cry of pain. "Holy crap!" Leo heard Amelia shout as he continued to fight. Yeah, that was pretty much my reaction too, Leo recalled to himself. After a few more minutes, he began to pant. The fight was starting to take his toll on him. He let out a grunt as he missed blocking a kick. He wasn't sure how much more of this he could take. He wasn't used to fighting Stingwigers unmorphed. He usually had the protection of his suit. But now, he was fighting as a civilian. Come on, Leo. Pull it together. You can do this, he encouraged himself. He just had to keep fighting....
OOC Sorry the post's a bit short.

OK this--this was getting just plain ridiculous!
Amelia grunted as she blocked one hit only to feel another one to her solar plexus which made her stagger backwards again. This things were relentless. And she was having a real hard time here (as much as she begrudgingly admitted to it) fending these creeps off. That one idjit had really tweaked her ankle and it hurt to put too much weight on it. 'Just block it out Amy. Block it out.' she told herself as she still tried to fight them off. All the while she was getting angrier and angrier at the suddenness of it all and the total lack of a good reason was pissing her off too. She had never seen these things before. She hadn't done a thing to them! And they were attacking her?! You really couldn't expect her to just take this now could you? Secrets be damned. She was going to morph. She never had to worry about it before and she wasn't going to start now. If the other wanted to give her flak about it...well then that was his problem. Not her's.
And so taking the morpher out of her jean pocket, it was time to show these fools who was boss, "SPD Emergency!" and she morphed into the purple ranger. Now these creeps were in for it. Big time, "Tri Saber." the long and slender blade was taken out of its sheath as Amy brandished it towards the insect creatures. Her muscles tense as she got into a fighting stance and gave them an 'I dare you' look behind her helmet...
