"You've got a friend in me" (Ava and Aiden.)

Briarwood, Home of the mystic force rangers. Aiden had done his research. Rumor said that who ever went into that forest did not come back out but he knew that was a lie. He quickly entered the forest because he had a feeling that the owner of the Demeter crystal would be there. That is where the person would feel comfortable. Aiden quietly began his walk through the forest holding out his golden crystal for a reading. For about half an hour he got nothing until he thought about aiming it toward the tree's. It began to glow brighter as he kept walking he felt the gem glow brighter and brighter.

"Hello?! I know someone's there. I won't hurt you! I just want to talk. You and I are alike! We are both special! I have a gem just like you! I have the spirit of Apollo!"

Aiden then just leaned against a tree and waited. He had already met and Befriended Alice who had the spirit of Hermes and Noah who was the leader who had the spirit of Zeus. Now it was time to meet Demeter.

[Ava Elizabeth]

Ava was sitting outside of her house, eating a vegetarian salad from the things she planted in her garden by the side of her house and reading a book, about a prince and princess in the greek times named, Eros & Psyche. They were her favorite greek couple:

The story tells of the struggle for love and trust between Eros and Psyche. Aphrodite was jealous of the beauty of mortal princess Psyche, as men were leaving her altars barren to worship a mere human woman instead, and so she commanded her son Eros, the god of love, to cause Psyche to fall in love with the ugliest creature on earth. But instead, Eros falls in love with Psyche himself and spirits her away to his home. Their fragile peace is ruined by a visit from Psyche's jealous sisters, who cause Psyche to betray the trust of her husband. Wounded, Eros leaves his wife, and Psyche wanders the Earth, looking for her lost love. Eventually she approaches Aphrodite and asks for her help. Aphrodite imposes a series of difficult tasks on Psyche, which she is able to achieve by means of supernatural assistance.

She smiled at the lovely ending, until she heard a voice echo through her forest. Putting her wooden bowl down, she stood, revealing she was wearing dark jean shorts, a dark green tank and no shoes. She went in a mile a head, and hearing foot-steps coming closer, quickly hid behind a tree, and up it, resting on a branch.
"Hello?! I know someone's there. I won't hurt you! I just want to talk. You and I are alike! We are both special! I have a gem just like you! I have the spirit of Apollo!"[/color]

He had called. She tilted her head to the side, tucking her crystal into her shirt, where it was hidden, she jumped down behind him. “What are you talking about? Who are you and what are you doing here?”

Aiden just fell back when he saw the bright green haired girl jump down from the trees. It shocked him to say the least but when she was in front of him his golden crystal around his neck shined brightly. He gulped and scooted back a bit and then stood up as he thought about how to answer the question. He went quiet for a moment as he brushed his hands on on his pants and held out his hand.

"Hello, My names Aiden. I just thought I would come for a walk because I am looking for someone. You see, I have this crystal and I am trying to meet the other people that may have one like me."

He then took off his necklace gently and held it out by it's string it shining brightly as the sun hit it. He then put it back around his neck and leaned against a softer looking tree.

"It seems so peaceful here. I wouldn't dare harm this place. Have you heard of the greek gods? Well this crystal I wear is said to have belonged to the god Apollo the god who brought the sun and the mood across the sky every day and night. It has granted me certain gifts. I have become able to play any instrument, control light and i get..what I call future flashes where I see glimpses of the future but they are random and give me a headache."

Aiden sighed and just leaned back against the tree. He thought about meeting the Hermes air and the Zeus air. He should tell her about them or at least about Alice.

"I have met two others with crystals like mine. Hermes and Zues. You might meet them soon. So, what's your name?"

[Ava Elizabeth]

Ava studied the boy, who looked either around her age of twentyish or a few years younger, around the age of seventeen or eighteen. He seemed nervous, not frightened or anything, just nervous. Who wouldn’t be if someone, they didn’t know approached them. She tucked a loose piece of hair, crossed her arms waiting for his answers, has he brushed his hands on his pants, holding out his hand. Ava, who had never really the interaction with people, looked at it with a what-are-you-doing expression, before looking up at him.

She shook his head, not with the knowledge of what he was talking about. Has he took of the crystal around its neck, she saw. She did not say anything at first but many thoughts came to her mind, and watched him. “What do you want with them? What does the crystal pose that makes the holder something, different?” She asked, slowly easing off her defense.

Greek gods? What did anything like that have to do with…she froze. Demeter. “Tell me,” she replied walking around the tree she had come out from, “What do you know about the greek gods?” It wasn’t a challenge, but she was testing him, in a way. She wanted to know what he said was true and such before she reveled herself. Her inner Demeter chimed when he said he wouldn’t dare harm her place.

“Ava.”

Aiden just smiled as she told him her name but gave him a funny look and then walked over to him and asked him what he knew about the Greek gods. He knew he sparked her interest and chuckled as he thought about his knowledge. He then thought back to what he learned in school and snapped his fingers. Time for a history lesson. He just sighed hoping he wouldn't mess up.

"Well let's see, I know Zeus lead them but was actually a titan, Hermes was the messenger god who was known as the king of thieves, Apollo was the god who transported the sun and moon across the sky and helped invent music and various things, Demeter was the god of nature and the harvest and the hunt. which I am guessing since you live in a forest you have her spirit, hades is the god of death. Aphrodite goddess of love.
He then stopped to take a breath and then tried to remember the rest of them counting on his fingers and just groaned and decided to wing it.

"I know there are twelve of them and that Demeter is the reason for all of the lovely trees and nature and that the person she chose to take care of her crystal must care for the children she took milinium to create."

He then groaned again as he looked at his own crystal with confused eyes.

"I still don't know why I was chosen by Apollo."

She listened to him for a moment. He assumed to quickly, which she frowned at. “How do you know I live here? I could be like you, and be traveling on my way.” She stood there for a moment, looking him over. “But I suppose you do, do your homework. Not everyone remembers the features of the goddess, especially the ones of Aphrodite, Artemis and Demeter.” Ava knew her greek mythology. It was something that almost came natural to her, which she found odd but now.

“Do not assume anything to quickly…Adian,” it took her a moment, before she remembered his name, but she continued, “Not everyone is who they seem. You seem like you know your stuff, and like Apollo, you seem laid back, confident, but a little timid never the less. That is why, he seemingly chose you for those reasons.” She was confident in her reply and looked over him again. Definitely someone like Apollo would choose. As for Ava, she had no idea, where any of her reply had come from. Whether it was from her crystal or what, she didn’t know, and frantically that knowledge she didn’t have a mere hour or two ago, frightened her a bit, but she did not show. Maybe it had been in a book she read earlier. She shrugged mentally and looked back at him.

“Do you know anything about the crystal?” she finally asked, hoping this (as one of her own questions) would be answered.

Aiden blushed when Ava began to compliment him and give good reasons why he was chosen by Apollo. She then asked him what he knew about the crystal and just nodded to her and tried to figure out how to word it as he looked at his crystal. As he stared at it for a moment then shut his eyes tight and put his index finger and middle finger on his right temple as he had a future flash about it going to rain soon in about five minutes. He rubbed his temples for a moment to prevent the headache probably going to happen.

"Sorry, future flash. It's going to rain in about five minutes. You can hold me to it. Anyway, I don't know much but what I was told is that they gift us with knowledge about all the gods, give us special powers related to the god or goddess that our gem comes from. Take me for example, I can see glimpses of the future, control light and play any instrument with mastery.Your gem is from Demeter so I'm just guessing at this but your powers are probably nature and animal based or something. I..also think..well I was told, they turn us into power rangers..for me I would be gold. I have seen glimpses of the future and seen the gems and our ranger forms."

Aiden then counted down from ten on his fingers while laying back on his back and right when he reached zero it began to drizzle quickly. He laughed and smiled. The future flashes may give him headaches but they never disappointed.

"Told ya."

Aiden then stood up and looked at Ava with a soft smile and looked her in the eyes.

"I can tell why Demeter picked you, Loving, gentle, beautiful, kind to nature and animals. A true flower waiting to bloom. I don't need to see the future to tell that when you bloom you will be the best and brightest of all of us. Oh and before I forget, A man named Noah will be visiting you soon. He is supposed to be our leader or what ever. I guess being chosen by Zeus makes you special or something."

Aiden then sighed as his stomach growled and he rubbed it blushing embarrassed.

"Can you help me find something to eat that won't like poison me?"

[Ava Elizabeth]

Ava tilted her head to the head to the side, as she sat on a stump, studying the boy in front of her. He was weird, like her in a way she supposed. Maybe she should let him prove it before she let him in on anything. He seemed to be spacing out for a moment or too, and took a step back, but yet still curious. She felt something in the earth like it always did as if a storm was coming.

Coming out, she nodded. “Yeah okay,” she replied listening to his answer. She wished Demeter would come to her, to give her the confidence to tell her that he was telling the truth… she looked up from her thought. “How…” she felt a tremble in the earth again, this time a little different than a storm; these were feelings only she could feel; and now he was speaking about Rangers? …..here was not the place to be talking about this, as soon as she was about to mention her place, it started to rain, making her forest, and her dark green hair, electric looking.


“Lets go,” she replied, taking his hand, so he wouldn’t get lost, as they went deep, deep into the forest, to her house. It looked like a cabin, but up high in the trees, like a giant tree house, with a porch and furniture, the makings of a normal house. “Wait here,” she replied going in and grabbing a couple towels, has the rain pored. Oh the beauty of the forest. She came back with two, handing him one, and sitting down for a moment, drying out her hair.

After awhile, of sitting, watching the rain, she looked at him. “What would you like? I have anything, but meat….I’m a vegetarian,” she explained.

Aiden blushed as Ava just kind of stared at him for a moment while it rained. She then quickly took his hand which made him blush because a girl had never held his hand before. She was leading him to her house. As they got there she let him go and went and got towels and tossed him one as he sat and dried his hair and tried to respike it. He just looked around her home and smiled. It was a very nice place. After a few minutes of just watching the rain she asked if he wanted anything. He just shook his head then raised his eyebrow as he changed his mind.

"Got any of those green apples? Granny smith I think their called. Those are my favorite. Maybe some green grapes? I'm fine with eather. Thank you for the offer. You have a wonderful home here Ava. Did you build it?"

Aiden then had a realization. She had brought him here to get to the matter at hand. The private talk, she was finally going to reveal her prized possession. The one he had seen in his vision. She was gonna show her crystal. He just smiled and locked his soft eyes on her.

"Sorry I seem a bit odd. I haven't had much social interaction. I usually sit at home and play games or watch tv or read. This is all new to me. Your not the only one who is new at this. The only reason I found You or Alice was because of these visions I keep having. They give me a headache. "

He then scooted over to the far end of the couch so she could sit next to him. He just gave her a friendly smile.

[Ava Elizabeth]

“Sure,” She replied, going to a cabinet, and pulling out a handcrafted wooden bowl. She had fresh grapes growing by the window, which were now perfectly ripe. Red ones, and green ones, and yes the original purple. This is what came from being a vegetarian; many fruits and veggies. She looked in the fruit bowl, only one remained of a fresh red apple. She froze and looked at him in a second thought. “Since I guess I sort of believe you with the visions… I guess this won’t surprise you that I can do this?” she grew a small apple tree in a large pot, by the window, that contained a single green apple, and tossed it his way. “And as for this home…no I didn’t build it.” They way she said it, was as if it was in the past and she wanted to move on.

She arched an eyebrow, as he said he hadn’t much social interaction. When and if people saw her, which was a 1 out of 100 people per chance, they thought of her as a female Tarzan, if you could say. Yet, she could talk, walk, eat etc like a normal sophisticated human being. “No. Actually I don’t actually you compared to me,” she hinted around her forest and cabin, no one but them. “Your normal.”

She took the rest of her salad and sat down in the hair next to him.

Aiden just smiled and caught the apple and took a big bite of the apple and chewed and swallowed smiling that she showed him her gift or at least one of them anyway. He smiled as he she sat down next to him. He was making progress with her and that made him happy. As he sat next to her he blushed because he had never been that close to a girl before. He gulped and stood up and tried to think of what came next. He was not a leader, wasn't meant to be but since Mr.Almighty Noah was not around he had to fill his shoes.

"Now that we know each other, Fighting alongside each other. Apparently were supposed to be like superhero's or something. I don't have much fighting experience and i'm guessing since you live in the forest away from people you don't eather. I have an idea though, why don't you show me your world, show me what your about? We can get to know each other better. I can show you what i'm about to. We could be the first ones on the team to be best friends!"

A look of total excitement flashed onto his face. He didn't think he would meet someone as cool as Ava. this was turning into a cool day.

Ava shrugged as she finished her salad, and got up to put it in the small places, where she usually put dishes to wash, and turned facing him leaning aginst the cabinet. This was to strange. Her a ranger? She knew her power, but the ranger part was to much. She never came across violence anyway, so why should she start? She shook her head, and ran a hand through her dark electric green hair, and studied her crystal around her neck. *This is impossible* she thought, shaking her head again. Ava was not one for violence.

And to top it off, being a friend? This was happening to fast all for her. For years and years alone, and now. The girl stood there with a puzzled expression on her face and sighed. “I’m not a fighter…I’m not even a ranger… and I don’t know… this is just too much,” she sighed, turning away looking out the window. The rain still at a gleaming slant of the rain, that she hoped would be coming at an end soon.

She shrugged to herself thoughts, she knew ranger exists, but never came to mind that she would be one. Yes she hoped that things opened up to her once she was no longer a teenager as she reached the age of 20…
