Brief Overview: Karone's hair is on the darker side of blonde, and she prefers to wear it straight. It is usually cut hanging to her shoulders in length. She has gray eyes that lean toward being bluish. With the awakening of Mnemosyne and her internal confusion, Karone's eyes often look stormy, reflecting her inner struggles. Physically Karone is strong and slender. Having been Astronema for so long - and being able to remember it - she hadn't been able to get herself out of the habit of keeping herself physically fit. Now that she is the Pink Mnemosyne Ranger she's gone back to her habit aboard Terra Venture of wearing a pink hairband, if not wearing pink elsewhere.[/left][/size]

Overview: Karone was born on KO-35, the sister of the future Red Space Ranger, Andros. The two siblings dreamed of becoming power rangers, however Karone was unable to realize her dream when she was kidnapped by Darkonda as a child. She was then taken in by Ecliptor - who named her Astronema - and raised to be evil.

As Astronema, Karone was brainwashed to believe that the power rangers had killed her parents and her brother - whom she still had a photo of in a locket she believed was all that remained of her family. She viewed Ecliptor as a fatherly figure. He in turn viewed her as a daughter and brought her up to be the heir to the throne of Dark Specter. She was trained to be an evil warrior, skilled in fighting and the dark arts of magic. After obtaining the Wrath Staff, the Dark Fortress, and her army of Quantrons she became a member of Dark Specter's Alliance. She would travel the universe, conquering and destroying all who refused to serve Dark Specter or herself.

With the birth of the new Space Rangers team - which came to be when Andros allied himself with the four former Turbo Rangers - Astronema was tasked with destroying the power rangers. During the ensuing battles she proved to be a ruthless nemesis to the Space Rangers. However she also showed a human side when she had a temporary romance with the silver ranger, Zhane.

Also during their battles, Andros discovered that Karone and Astronema were one and the same person. After this he did everything in his power to reform her. He very nearly succeeded to, as once she was convinced of her identity as Karone she sided with her brother and helped him find Zordon. Andros and the other Space Rangers even made her an honorary power ranger. However she was captured by Ecliptor in a trap set for her and turned back to evil - this time with cybernetic attachments on her head that ensured she stayed that way.

In this second birth of Astronema, she began attempts to overthrow Dark Specter. She created the original Psycho Rangers - extremely powerful, homicidal counterparts to the power rangers. Their job was to destroy the power rangers, but also to destroy Dark Specter by draining his energy as she had linked their power to his - which meant every time they fought the rangers they would greatly drain Dark Specter. However, the Psycho Rangers were destroyed before either of their intents could be carried out. Despite being much stronger to the power rangers, they had been impatient and unwilling to follow Astronema's carefully laid plan and it resulted in their destruction.

After initiating his master plan - an all out invasion of the universe - Dark Specter was destroyed by Darkona and Astronema became the new Queen of All Evil. Her reign, however, was short-lived as a battle with her brother resulted in an energy bolt being deflected back at her and she was defeated. After Zordon's destruction and being revived by Andros, Karone was reverted to herself.

Some time later she was disguised as Astronema and was present on the planet Onyx when the pink Quasar Saber was on auction. Karone stole the saber and attempted to return it to the Galaxy Power Rangers on the space colony Terra Venture. When she risked her life to protect the saber from Trakeena, the spirit of Kendrix saved her and passed on the role of the Pink Galaxy Ranger to Karone.

In her role as the Pink Galaxy Ranger, Karone attempted to atone for all the evil she had done as Astronema. She even had the chance to revive a warrior she - as Astronema - had previously turned to stone to prevent him from using his powers against her. The warrior forgave her and passed his powers on to a then dis-empowered Leo.

Karone remained the Pink Galaxy Ranger until Terra Venture crash landed on the planet Mirinoi. There she and the other rangers returned their Quasar Sabers to the alter they had been originally pulled from. Doing so revived the people of Mirinoi as well as resurrecting Kendrix who thanked Karone for carrying on the fight. The next time the Galaxy Rangers would be called on - to assist the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers - it would be Kendrix and not Karone who would again become the Pink Galaxy Ranger.

When Messegog brought back all of the Power Ranger's enemies, Karone was again transformed into Astronema. In this third incarnation of Astronema, she created and mentored to a new group of Psycho Rangers, these ones being somewhat deranged humans whom she empowered to become the new Psychos.

With the awakening of Mnemosyne's crystal inside of her, Karone's memories have been completely restored to their original states - prior to any tampering at any point in her life - and can no longer be manipulated. This has led to Karone having a personality somewhere between her own - as seen when she was the pink Galaxy ranger - and that of Astronema. To put it mildly, she is confused and attempting to find herself as well as master her powers as the Pink Titan Ranger.

As such Karone has total recall of her past, her memory can no longer be tampered with. She can read and speak any language. She can move at an increased speed when fighting, making it appear to her as if her opponants aren't moving.
