When wearing clothes that covers most of his body, Alex appears to be a weak young man due to his height and the fact that he has a slim body. In actuality, his body has an athletic build due to years of martial arts. He wears a black T-shirt with a black jacket over it which hides the muscle build on his arms. He also wears black pants black Nike sneakers and white socks. It should be noted that his hands are small enough to fit into a chain linked fence after moving his thumb onto the palm of his hands. He also has small feet that are size 7 in footwear.
Personality:
Alex can be best described as a calm level headed young man when he isn't emotionally compromised. It's because of this and a combination of his intelligence that he is a good chess player and has a knack at video game rpgs. As a martial artist, he doesn't like to show off his skills to impress people since the whole point of martial arts is for self defense. By showing off, it defeats the purpose since there is the occasional alpha mail that will pick a fight with someone that knows martial arts just to prove how tough he or she is.
As a chess player, Alex can be best described as a ruthless player who isn't afraid to sacrifice pieces in order to win when playing seriously. He always keeps his calm when it seems like he's losing. When it comes down to roles of leadership, Alex prefers to be a follower or an adviser that works in the background. However, when the situation demands it, he can be a very effective leader when he needs to be. While Alex can be a ruthless chess player, it is his good nature that prevents him from becoming a ruthless leader or a cut throat that will do anything to better his standard of living in life.
If he were placed into a position where he was actually leading people into battle, he'll try to keep everybody alive and if a sacrifice were to be made, he'll be the one that sacrifices his life. When his friends or family are in danger, Alex has the tendency to act rashly in those situations.
History:
Alexander was born Arthur and Lilly Pendragon and was named after Alexander the Great by his father. Since it was easier to say Alex instead of Alexander, he was usually called Alex unless his mother got angry at him for getting into trouble. Alex's father was a police officer in Alex's home city, Reffside and his mother was a high school English teacher who taught at Reefside High. On every other weekend, Alex visited his uncle and aunt who were unable to have children of their own and often treated Alex like the child they could never have. His uncle, Adam was a high school history teacher at Angel Grove and was also in charge of the chess team since he's a grand master in chess. As for Rose, she was a U.S Marshall that worked in the Witness Protection Program.
When Alex was 7, his parents enrolled him into Karate studio since they felt that it was very important for him to learn how to defend himself and to exercise since he usually was i front of the T.V all day after school. Around that time, he started to take an interest in some of shows his parents were watching with Highlander being his favorite show out of all the shows his parents watched. After all, it involved immortals trying to cut each other's heads off with swords, so what wasn’t there to love about that?
When Alex turned 9, his uncle started to teach him how to play chess since he really wasn’t into the whole martial arts thing that Alex was into since his uncle didn’t believe in violence. The two played chess every time Alex came to his uncle’s house and while Alex wasn’t as good as his uncle, he did have considerable potential to become a grandmaster at chess like his uncle once he became older. That combined with the self-discipline he gained from karate made Alex into a levelheaded person. Things seemed to be going well for Alex as he got older and by the time he was in high school, he joined Reefside High’s chess team and became one of the team’s most valuable members.
However, Alex’s life suddenly took a turn for the worse when Messegog and all of the other enemies of the Power Rangers were sent back to 2004. When Alex was at his uncle’s house, Reef City was attack by a giant monster and like most giant monsters, it was defeated by the power rangers. Unfortunately, Alex’s parents were eating at a restaurant at the time of the attack and the monster ended up destroying it during the battle, which killed both of his parents. Since his aunt and uncle were his next of kin, he was adopted by them. Alex is now trying to adjust to his new life in Angel Grove while putting the deaths of his parents behind him in an attempt to move forward in life.
