Aftermath <3 (Jason)

[Ava Elizabeth]

Ava was shaking by her seat by the window. She had not left her home since the Great Ranger Plurge. It was true she survived her first real battle as a ranger, but she hoped she would never have to experience something like that again. Demeter tried and tried to comfort the poor girl, but the green haired beauty stayed silent. She was so depressed, so scared she did not know what to think, do, or say but sit. She looked pale against the fresh new full moon that showed through the window she sat by. A tear rolled down her face as she thought of him.

*Jason*

She felt tears roll down her face as she pulled closer into a ball. Kronos had emerged, and knowing that Demeter, Aphrodite, and the others were true, she knew the stories of Kronos were true as well. He was evil, and this thought of Jason being this broke her more then what normally would. Her first…he was true love at first sight…he showed her the towns and cities around the forest, the world other then the forest… she shook her head, thinking she should have never left the safety of her home. It just led to pain.

Dear…you need to at least eat something…please?

Demeter begged her. It was true, she had not eaten for a week since the battle, not finding the will. She felt so alone, hidden from the world; she buried her head in the pillow she held. *I love him…* she thought, not moving from her spot.

He had been one of the good ones until that voice had come to his head even now darkness seeped around him at every step. Though he was in control now he could feel himself slowly slipping into it as of late. Closing his eyes he vanished in a crimson light into the forest unsure of where he was going as he took a breath and glanced around. He had no idea why he had come here besides she had run when the battle had ended. Slowly he walked towards the house and kept his eyes on the ground as he paused outside his hand resting against the door.

She wouldn’t answer if he knocked so instead he vanished and reappeared behind her. Even now she made him lose his breath as he paused Ava he said after a moment his voice soft taking a breath he looked at her I…I need your help” he forced the words out of his mouth as he sank to his knees his hands against his knees taking a breath. The pain in his head made him clench his fists to his side as he paused he won’t…leave me alone he whispered to her as he looked up into her eyes.

Fighting it he slowly rested his hands on the ground and then stood slowly his head clearing as he paused I…im losing myself” the words sent a chill down his spine as he looked down and felt tears run down his cheeks. He had always been in control and now…that was gone his peace of mind gone everything to a voice that would make him do things…cruel things and at times it was he himself who did it as he looked ill at that moment he paused please and with that he passed out…inches from her.

She felt something approach her boundaries but did nothing. She was to the point at the thought nothing mattered. She felt she lost him, which broke the remainder that was keeping her going. Every day in that week since it was all over broke her more and more, no motivation was left in her. She closed her eyes waiting for death, or whatever was to come to take her that night, thinking it was a monster who had followed her scent to finish what Zedd, or one of the others, to finish what they started. She wouldn’t fight, for her morpher was tucked away hidden in the floor boards…never again.

Ava…

Ava froze in her spot. That voice that ran through her dreams and nightmares…it was real, or she hoped it was. She instinctively looked, turned and stood. She swallowed the lump in her throat as she stood before him. Her dark forest green hair rested lightly on her paler then normal skin tone. She looked away lightly at the mention of “He.” Ava and Demeter both knew who Jason was referring to. She felt more silent tears fall down her cheeks.

“Jason…I” she looked at him sadly and lovingly. She wanted to say it. Maybe in a normal world it was the guy to say “I love you” first, but her world wasn’t normal. She didn’t get that chance as he passed out inches from her. If it would have been someone else she would have gone to find help, that’s what Demeter told her to do. She couldn’t. She went to him and helped him into the bed. (She is stronger then she looks.) Ava held him close. “Jason…” she started again, “I love you.” she whispered, as tears continued to fall, this time onto his chest.

He could feel himself being moved and then being laid down his eyes closed as he took a deep breath a few moments later when he felt her tears falling onto his chest and slowly opened his eyes and slowly raised his hand to her face and brushed her tears away his touch extremely gentle hey none of that he whispered to her his eyes on hers as he sighed softly his voice soft as he calmed down the darkness was still around him but when he was near it slowed down as he swallowed and looked away from her his eyes soft.
Then she said those magic words that made his heart beat a mile a minute and all he could do was just laid there as he took it in and finally looked into her eyes and slowly leaned up cupping the back of her neck he kissed her softly his touch and kiss as gentle as the day the first time that they had kissed and smiled at her I love you to he thought softly as he cringed in pain as his head started to throb but he pushed it away.
The two had not seen each other since the battle and even now it bothered him as he sighed I’ve missed you he told her after a moment and slowly sat up on the bed and looked around. He had stayed here several nights since they had met each other but he had not been here in two weeks sighing quietly he looked at her and sighed sit by me? he asked her after a few moments and relaxed. Just being around her was slowly calming him down and the pain was receding…maybe this was what he needed he thought after a moment.

I…I’m sorry for just showing up…I can go if you’d like he said after a few moments.

Demeter remained silent, as Ava was begging softly in the back of her mind to her, asking her for help. Her green hair rested off her face lightly, trailing down her shoulders and her back. Her eyes were shut, her head gradually going into his hand as he brushed her tears away. Ava felt weak, she never cried. Ava opened her sad green eyes and looked into his warm gentle eyes, not knowing what to say. As she looked at him, the warmth filled her and it felt like they were the only two people on the earth. That the world they were in was just them and no one else.

Ava continued to let tears fall as he kissed her. She had butterflies in her stomach, her head was spinning, and it felt like she was on cloud 9! She kissed him back, gently, closing her eyes. She felt her broken heart slowly mend back together. The frozen numbness that she had felt for the past week, melted away from her. She felt warm and safe when she was in his touch. “Jason…I’m so sorry…I…shouldn’t have ran…I…” she whispered trying to find her voice.

“I’ve missed you too…so much,” she whispered sitting by him, resting her head on his shoulder. *So much in fact, she hasn’t eaten in a week!*[/i][/color] Ava quietly put her head down in her hands and sighed silently trying to keep back her none fallen tears.

*Ask him dear, you know you want to…*[/i][/color] Demeter replied softly to her, in a concerned, calm motherly voice.

Before she could even debate on this thought, she looked up at him from her hands at his words: I…I’m sorry for just showing up…I can go if you’d like…[/color] The feeling of starting to hyperventilating came over her. “What? I….no…please don’t leave…please…” she was almost begging as she looked up at him sadly.

He had been about to go when he heard her plea and closed his eyes. Even now he didn’t want to leave her standing there as she was. Bowing his head he pushed the darkness down inside of him and turned to her his brown eyes on hers as he crossed the room and slowly wrapped his arms around her waist and sighed as he lowered his mouth to hers again and kissed her his lips pressing against hers he held her close and sighed quietly and gave a soft smile. God he had missed the gentleness of her lips against his as he sighed happily.

Looking down he saw the girl that he had fallen in love with and that brought new strength but also pain into his heart. She was innocent and a part of him worried that he would in the end hurt her somehow and shuddered at the thought but didn’t let go of her as he sighed quietly and touched her cheek running his hand along her skin he paused I guess I can stay a little while longer he said in a gentle voice as he stroked her hair he didn’t want to ever let go of her…not again.

He had promised that he would never come back to her and yet in the end he had found himself back in this house where they had first come together when he had caught her when shed fallen from the tree he closed his eyes and leaned down holding her body close to his own and smiled softly we can do this…we have each other he said after a moment confidence showing back up in him at that moment as he held her body close and smiled as he looked into her eyes.

She had given him something new to hold onto and that much he would always cherish as he sat down he pulled her down with him and held her close together? he asked her…she had given him hope.

It was true they were both young, but when she looked into his eyes, she couldn’t help but feel a warm love she had never felt before in her whole like. It was truly love at first sight, and the thought of him leaving again killed her inside. The green eyed, green haired beauty tried looking away, from the fear of crying in front of him, but she was afraid to look away, for the fear of him disappearing before her eyes. A few strands of tears escaped and fell from her eyes down her cheeks. Just seeing him here made her feel happy, safe, warm, and more love then she could ever see and feel in her entire life. Even if fate was trying to separate them much like Romeo and Juliet, she wouldn’t give up. If she did, she would not be able to take the pain she would feel.

She felt his arms wrap around her as she stood there, then laid back. He sighed. Ava naturally nuzzled into his chest, in his arms, as if it were her place, and only hers, as if a child would do their mother/father. She truly loved him and wouldn’t let anything or anyone come in between them. “Good…I’ve missed you” she muttered almost in a whisper taking him in. His gentleness, his love.

Her soft forest green eyes looked up into his warm brown ones nodding. They were full of so much curiosity to the point where they were almost to innocent, who has never experienced so much in one life…“Always…I’m not going anywhere. I promise,” she replied softly, touching his face with loving gentleness. Her hand ran through his hair.

She looked up into his eyes again and nodded. “Together.” Ava then kissed him, as their lips where ever so close. She closed her eyes feeling another tear roll down.
