At fifteen, Emily is the youngest of the Samurai and is usually treated as such. Seeing the other Rangers' uncertainty at her usefulness (especially since Serena was originally supposed to be the Yellow Samurai), she quickly decided to prove the other Rangers wrong. To everyone else, she is young, inexperienced, naive, and clumsy. However, the clumsiness and naivity is just an act, which she plans to use to her advantage against the Nighlock. When they're not in Samurai gear or visiting the town, Emily can be seen wearing jeans and a t-shirt, or if it's colder, a plaid or a cotton jacket.
Personality:As the youngest of the Rangers, Emily is treated like a kid. Though she portrays herself as naive and clumsy, it's just an act which she intends to use to lull Master Xandred and the other Nighlocks into thinking that she's the weak link so that she can eventually gain the upper hand. What the other Rangers don't know, is that Emily can be reckless, which can get her into trouble and defiant if she thinks a situation is unfair (such as breaking off all contact with family and friends), which has gotten her into trouble before.[/i][/blockquote]
History:Emily grew up as a typical country girl, going to school, doing chores, and hanging out with her friends. When she was younger, she'd watch her sister Serena practice her Samurai training as she grew older, would occasionally help her. While a small part of her envied her older sister, a larger part of her mostly didn't care, and she tended to hang out with her friends rather than help her sister train. When she started dating a local boy---Coy Bowdrie---her interest in Samurai training waned even more and she eventually stopped helping her sister all together. Then, Serena got sick and Emily dutifully picked up the slack to take her sister's place and she was eventually called as the Yellow Samurai Ranger.

Emily walked down the street, a bag of groceries in her hand. Thank goodness there wasn't a lot of people today, she thought to herself. One of the worst things about being sequestered in the Shiba House was that one tended to forget their social skills when dealing with non-Rangers. Just then, a group of strange beings surrounded her. Moogers! Great, I knew this day was going too well, she thought to herself. She placed the bag aside.
"Come on, bring it," she dared, dropping into a defensive stance. The Moogers closed in...
