Ava was high in the trees scouting for the animal or animals that had been taking and eating the food she had planted in her garden. Sure she could plant some more, but she did not really like that, there was no point really. She thought around the animals by forming a fence around her little organic garden, but they always slipped past. The green haired girl, thought about capturing the creature, depending of what it was, and sending it far away from her place with enough food so it will stay away, for awhile anyways.
The wind brushed her bright green hair, out of her face and off her shoulder. She was trying to think where they might be hiding. She knew that the critters loved to hide away near her house, but after searching all over she could not. She sighed lightly to herself. “Oh well,” she muttered softly to herself, sitting on the branch she had been squatting in, and looking out in the distance. She saw smoke, and frowned.
Fire. She shook her head irritated. Yes there were forest fires, but these irritated her most because of others, others by the meaning people. It was true that she stayed hidden from them, but they liked to cause mischief in her forest, and it was not something she was going to stand for. To her, she did not know why she disliked it so much, she had always disliked it from the day…She gripped the green crystal around her neck, and sighed. Ava really didn’t need to morph into her ranger mode, honestly the occasion never occurred. She had found out this ability by clear accident, if ever at all. There were monsters in the forest miles away from her home, and when she ran, she tripped over burned tree root. She was furious, and when she hit it, the beast charged at her, knocking her to the ground. This activated the power she needed and here she was today.
She sighed again, and stood, getting ready for the climb back down to the ground.

He had come out for a day of camping and having a good time. Most of the past few months had been spent fighting evil and doing what he could to make sure the others would survive and he had needed sometime to himself. Zordon and the others could easily contact him if they needed him anyway he thought as he sat down by the fire to warm himself. He had noticed that the weather was becoming colder and colder and decided to warm himself a bit as he sat there he looked over and thought he noticed someone stuck in a tree.
Shaking his head knowing he had to help he stood and jogged towards the tree and saw her trying to climb down do you need some help? he called up unsure if she would be able to hear him. It was quite a distance and he hoped that things would go okay. True he could morph but that would just cause issues knowing he would have to dimorph. Keeping his eyes on her he took a breath and slowly relaxed keeping his eyes on her wishing he had brought his flashlight but to nervous that she would fall if he did.
She was doing well so far which was always a plus but it still made him nervous as he kept his eyes ready in case she did need help of some way or another he would hopefully be able to unless he missed…which could always happen he thought and sighed shaking his head he couldn’t worry about that now at least as he stared up at the girl.

Ava was an excellent tree climber. She learned how to climb when she was just seven years old. She loved them, and never gave up trying to climb as high as she could. She just simply loved trees and the great outdoors in general. Standing in her spot, she looked down at the ground, if she jumped it would not hurt at all, but what was the fun and challenge of that. As she found her footing, to climb down, a voice from below spoke, distracting her and causing her to slip. Ava quickly tried grabbing a branch and planting something to break her fall, but she could not concentrate. She had never fallen before, not even when she was little.
She closed her eyes, hoping the fall wouldn’t hurt to bad, or that she would simply land on her feet or something! Ava felt has she was flying thru the air, not realizing what was about to happen…umf! She landed but it was not on the ground. Her body relaxed from then tension that had built during the fall. She opened her eyes, and found herself in the arms of a tall dark haired man. He had to be about six foot or something close to that.
She didn’t know what to say but thanks, but the word did not escape her lips. This was her first actual human interaction since she was sixteen, when nana and papi (the people she had met just when she was six, and who raised her like a daughter) had died. A green strand of hair fell in her eyes, as she looked into his, stuck on words, curiously.

He had to admit that he was surprised one moment he had been looking up at her when she fell and he moved quickly and managed to catch her before she hit the ground sinking down to the ground from the impact he looked down as he realized that she was okay but also quite beautiful in the moon light as he paused as he slowly stood holding the small girl in his arms and relaxed are you okay? he asked her his voice soft as he paused his mind elsewhere for a moment before he looked down at her again and saw her looking at him.
As he relaxed he sighed quietly I’m Jason can I ask you your name? he carried her to the campfire and gently set her down against a log as he sat down by her did you hurt yourself? concern was in his voice soft as he checked to see if she needed any help glad that he had brought a first aid kit with him in case he needed something to help himself or in this case some Tarzan girl that had just fallen out of the tree nearby his campsite.
It was weird that he had found her and even when he had come out here. Maybe they’re a reason and he would figure it out later. Realizing how quiet things had been he paused and offered her some fish I promise I don’t bite he told her a smile coming to his lips.

Ava continued to study him. He was much taller than herself, which she guessed was about close to six foot. He seemed to come out of nowhere, which after a minute or so of realizing that he caught her, she was grateful. She wondered that he had been doing out here. She tilted her head to the side. He had seemed to her, to be in the right place at the right time…well actually she would have been fine if he had not of spoken and distracted her. Ava nodded, slowly at first, finding her words. “I am, thank you.” She replied finally, tucking a piece of loose green hair, behind her ear.
Ava did not know what to think of this dark hair, brown eyes man who had caught her. Honestly the last description of this man was in a fiction book she had finished last night that ended with a happy ending of a prince and his blonde hair princess… She shook her head mentally. *Grow up Ava* she thought to herself. As she sat down, her bare feet touching the ground safely now, she ran a hand through her long hair. “I’m Ava…and no I’m fine. Honestly I never had fallen out of a tree until now…and I’m been climbing since I was seven.”
Now usually she would had left by now, had he set her down, but feeling curious after not having human connection for a long time, she felt the want to be there. She looked at the fire, and frowned, slightly backing away from it. Fire. She shook her head. *So this is where it was coming from* she thought to herself; he didn’t seem the time to burn fire for the heck of it. She looked up as he spoke again about his offer of food to her. She shook her head. “That’s very kind of you but I’m a vegetarian… and I should be getting on my way…”

As she spoke he looked at her and smiled softly she had a beautiful voice that drew him in but he knew he could not completely fall. Rita would have a field day if this had been some sort of trap that would draw him in. but he would be friendly enough if he could. He hated when he would lose a friendship due to he would be nervous but he also that he didn’t know what would happen in the past as he noticed her green hair he paused and reached out and brushed a leaf from her hair until he realized it was her hair and paused “the green color suits you so well he smiled gently his eyes soft in the fire.
He noticed how nervous she was around the fire and got the bucket that he had filled and doused it so she would not be nervous. Checking to make sure that it was out completely he paused and sat down back by her as she said her name he paused Ava…a beautiful name he told her his voice calm as he looked into her eyes and slowly relaxed. Maybe this was not some trap that he would have to be afraid of dealing with though he would like to have admitted at that point he was looking forward to a drama free few days.
Just as soon as he had set her down she had said that she had to get going he paused you don’t have to he offered her with a smile and went into a cooler after a few moments he found what he was looking for and pulled out a container of strawberries “you’re not the only one who likes to eat healthy he winked at her and leaned back and opened the container offering it to her if she wanted it. Yes he had messed up before but at least now he hoped that he would be able to make up for it “I can walk you back to your campsite if you would like later on his voice showing he did worry she would end up hurt.

Her curiosity began to grow for the man who had saved her, who she now, she guessed, she would refer to as Jason now. She took everything in, from his dark eyes and hair, to his clothing, to where and how he was sitting, to even around his campsite, where she noticed a bright red motorcycle, which she (surprisingly) took with interests. Since she hadn’t a TV at her place, all this was relatively new to the green haired beauty. She looked back at Jason, her eyes somewhat full of questions. He looked familiar but she couldn’t tell from what. As he mentioned her hair, she smiled a bit. Would she have to explain it, and if she did, would she be able to trust him? His eyes read yes, but she was not so certain. “Thanks,” was her simple reply.
She watched him gently as he put a bucket of water on the fire. Maybe when he left she would put grass in the spot again, but fought the erg to do it now. She nodded thanks. “I’ve always liked it,” she smiled a little. She began to get a feeling in her stomach that she could not explain, nor has she had the feeling before. This felt weird to her, but another feeling told her to just go with it.
Ava did not know if she liked the new feeling that was occurring in her, and was about to stand and leave when he had spoken again. She looked at his second offer, and couldn’t help herself, as she reached with a smile. What could she say, they were her favorite. He seemed chiverioist for his modern style, which she found surprising, then again she had never met anyone really, and people either just fascinated her, or annoyed her to death; this time it was defiantly the first one. “I’d like that…but I should just simply tell you. I’m not here camping…I live here.”

As she leaned forward he watched her for a moment and then held the strawberry to her lips so that she could eat it. He liked her even now she had an innocence to her that drew him to her at that moment. Looking into her eyes he smiled softly at her “I like your hair its beautiful and looks so natural out here like it belongs he told her as he moved closer to her and kept the strawberries open and offered her another when she was ready at that moment he felt happy to be around her.
Then she caught him off guard as she said that she lived here. He looked into her eyes she wasn’t he didn’t pause though as he smiled will you allow me the honor of accompanying you to where you stay when you decide to go home? he spoke softly showing that he didn’t mind that she lived there she was a good person and that was all that mattered at the moment “do you live with your parents? I don’t want to get you into trouble he offered her softly.
She was young maybe early twenties at most and yet as he sat there with her he realized he did care about her and that much was shocking keeping his eyes on hers he paused I’m going to be here a few days would you like to spend some time together? he asked her suddenly seeming a bit shy. He knew he could possibly get in trouble for this if she was to young but at the moment he didn’t mind as he ate a strawberry he smiled at her in the moonlight.

Ava could not breath, or at least that is what it looked like. She did not know what was coming over her, his dark warm eyes seemed entrancing. As he offered her a strawberry, she was a bit off taken…offering it in her mouth. She could feel her face turn a slight red color. “Thanks, it’s a slight long story of how I got it,” she replied shyly, taking another one. “They’re fresh…seems like they were just simply plucked from my own garden,” she said with a soft pleasant voice, looking down at it, trying to clear her mind of a fog that just formed. For some reason, she was getting the erge to tell this stranger her story.
After meeting Adian, the gold Apollo ranger that was supposed from her group, this was the second time she had met someone, who she belonged with. Maybe she was not supposed to be out here always, on her own; the thought of leaving her home after all these years? She looked up as his soft voice spoke. “Yeah…I would like that,” she smiled a moment then looked down. “No…just me; again sort of a long story.”
While sitting there talking, there were once in awhile some silences, they were not the awkward kind, as she was use to the silences, but still. She sat there debating on the thoughts running through her head. Randomly just tell him, you know you want to, her thoughts spoke to her. She felt the ground move underneath her, one of many feelings she got when something got near her hard worked garden. Ava sighed silently. “I would really like that,” she smiled lightly before standing. “Now if you excuse me there is a little rabbit trying to get into my garden again.” She felt a regret to go, not wanting to, but if she did not all her hard work, would simply vanish.

He was quite happy just sitting there with her as the two ate strawberries together and he paused and moved next to her his eyes looking into hers as he smiled softly and thought of how odd things had been. At that point he had been ready to spend most of the evening until they had to turn in for the night smiling at her gently he closed his eyes and slowly relaxed his mind going elsewhere at that moment as he tried to think what to do next and sighed softly at peace at that moment.
A moment later she had stood up though she he listened to her and paused how do you know? he asked her and stood up as well and closed the tent up and then walked up to her side and gently took her hand in his own I’ll go with you maybe I can help he offered and gave her a smile. He did like her and it was showing more and more with each passing moment as he stayed by her side and nodded giving her hand a gentle squeeze shall we?

“Lets just say it’s a gift?” she smiled a little as the statement came out as a question. She felt it would be right and easy to simply tell him about what type of gift. As rush of excitement came over, as he offered to come with her, and she tried not letting it show, but she figured her bright eyes would give it away. “Um sure…if you don’t mind,” she smiled a bit of blush in her cheeks has they began to walk.
Making it back to her cabin, briskly, she saw the little rabbit digging his way through under the gate. “Oh no you don’t,” she muttered, and quickly grabbing the rabbit but the neck, and putting it into her arms. “You mister rabbit, need to learn manners,” she replied, scratching him on the head. She put him in a basket she had weaved out of sticks, and stood there thinking a moment, her arms somewhat crossed, with a hand on her cheek with a sigh.

He walked with her as she made her way to her garden he now wondered about what she had called a gift. Something was different about her and even though he couldn’t put his finger on it he would deal with it when it did come up as they got there he watched her with the rabbit and that was enough to make his jaw drop at the sight now he knew something was up as she seemed to be thinking he walked up next to her and paused You have a way with animals he told her gently a soft smile on his lips as he looked into her eyes a soft smile on his face.
When she felt she could trust him she would let him in I am glad I met you he admitted to her and looked around the garden and walked over and looked at each one ms green thumb he admitted and walked to her and hugged her gently. She had a gentle part to her that he could see even now. Looking into her eyes he paused this place is beautiful…just like its caretaker he whispered to her.

This was peaceful, it was kind, and relaxing. Whatever it was she had no idea, but she simply felt herself smile. Her smile was warm, like the dark forest around her. “You kind of have to when they try to get into your garden daily…you get use to it…” she smiled, looking down at the little rabbit, offering him a carrot, she pulled from another basket. She felt her white, almost a natural pale, turn a warm pink, but looked away quickly, hair falling from her ears.
Something in her mind just froze, then went fast forward, but she wouldn’t open to her mouth to a complete stranger, not yet… but the erg to tell him everything out here was eating her away.
Ava, sat on the porch’s ledge and looked up at him in thought. Smiling at his words, he was the first, and only person she wanted to tell her secrets too and she didn’t know why. That was it, she could not take it anymore. “Can you keep a secret? Do you want to know how I got into the tree…how I felt about the fire…feeling the rabbit near my garden? And the garden in general?” she asked, picking up the little but big rabbit, and placing it in her lap, feeding it a carrot.

He watched her in wonder with the rabbit there had to be a pet he thought after a moment and shook his head at the thought but he sat by her and watched the rabbit his eyes soft. She had the soft kindness to her that made his heart go all weird inside of his chest he stayed by her as the girl took care of the rabbit he sighed you could keep it in its cage…you won’t have to worry about it eating your garden” he offered her with a smile but he had started to wonder about her.
that I can do…we all have some secrets” he told her in a soft voice as he smiled at her. Would he ever have the chance to tell her about being a being a ranger? He doubted it would come up for a while at least as he looked into her eyes and relaxed slowly you can trust me I promise I don’t bite he told her as he looked into the forest his eyes soft. They would have to figure this out sooner or later or at least that was what he was hoping in the end…he really liked her.

“Maybe I should just keep the little thing as a pet,” she muttered to herself. Could she do that? The word companion sounded better, but for a rabbit? When he suggested the idea, she smiled at the thought but in the end through it away, and shrugged. “I thought about that, but he is not really mine, just a little stray who comes here and there. And besides, the thought of a cage…” she shivered at the thought, “I don’t like being caged up, so I don’t think he or any other person or animal would be either,” she replied looking up with innocent eyes; oh the beauty of innocence.
“Well…” she began, this was it, the moment she was finally going to tell someone her thoughts and secrets to someone she needed to spill. She started with a brief history, of how it came to be. “I was six when I was lost in these woods…I was found by a man, his dog and wife, and since they didn’t know where I came from to take me back, and I couldn’t tell them anything since I was real little, they raised me. They had died when I was about fifteen-sixteen; old age….about a month later, I found this;” she pulled out the crystal around her neck. The green crystal was bright. She then told Jason the rest of how she found it, and when she put it on the magic had turned her hair permently green, only for her and she discovered her gifts.
“The ranger thing is a different chapter story…” She sighed a sigh of relief after just kind of spilling everything out, then simply apologized for doing it. Typical Ava.
